Program Objectives:
At the end of this symposium participants will be able
to:
Understand the efficacy and side effects of
commonly used herbal and dietary supplements.
Select the optimal stress tests
for the evaluation of coronary artery disease.
Apply a rational, stepwise approach for the therapy of hypertension.
Implement the new NCEP II guidelines
in patients with hypercholesterolemia.
Integrate the use of new treatment modalities
including beta-blockers and brain natriuretic peptide
in the therapy of CHF.
